Challenge
How might we transform a daunting manual sales process into a user-friendly digital in-app experience to enhance efficiency, user satisfaction and increase project transactions?
Solution
As sole designer, working within limitations of a pre-establish product configuration tree, I designed a multi-tab iPad application that allowed each product to have it's own unique experience while leveraging consistent patterns across the whole app to promote cohesion and ease of use.

Each product required slightly different options and abilities to build a line item. Some items required photo capture while others used aerial measuring software to pre-populate data used for selections.
Research
Goals
Discover how in-home sales representatives pitch appointments.
Learn how product line items are tracked and built.
Discover how estimates are created.
Understand what influences homeowner's decision on whether or not to purchase our products.

I started my research by understanding the problem I’m trying to solve. Organizing, tracking, and discovering materials used by sales representatives while on appointments.

Findings
The manual process was monotonous and time-consuming, resulting in reduced homeowner interest and a reduced number of appointments performed by sales representatives.

Sales representatives need to generate numerous line items that feature nearly identical options with slight variations.

The app should aim to actively engage homeowners and provide clarity regarding the items they are purchasing.

Sales representatives need to move quickly and efficiently when inputting product selections.

3. Ability to capture and label home photos
4. Help sales representatives with selections and presenting information to homeowners
5. Prepare an estimate quote based on inputted selections
6. Expandability across multiple products
User Flow - Window Builder (Initial MVP)
This user flow was created based on the initial concept of an interactive app for in-home sales representatives that would allow them to build window estimates more efficiently and visually.
User Flow - Additional Products
This user flow was for the expansion of the Window Builder MVP to other products offered by the company.
